Jim Healey is an up and coming Audio Producer, specialising in Mix Engineering and Editing whilst providing addition resources and assistance to new musical acts and artists. Based in Southampton, where he earned his degree in Popular Music Production, Jim is currently working on setting up his own mix studio just outside Southampton City Centre. Current projects include taking lead on the audio for 'Draper Tools', to help in the creative service for promotional content. This involved both audio capture and editing, followed by some Post Production to finalise the project. Recently completed mixing a live album for alternative folk artists, ‘Pegasuses’. This has a release date set for December/January 2025, to support the release of 'Pegasuses' debut album – ‘Only the Sea’. “We wanted to work with someone we have got to know personally and trust. Jim has helped us out with live sound in the past so it made sense to ask him to help out with this project” (Pegasuses)
Jim’s musical career started back in 2008 with the release of the self-titled album by underground indie pop band “Thomas Tantrum” (Cool for Cats, Marquis Cha Cha, Vinyl Junkie, Stranger Records) After countless tours supporting the likes of “Dirty Pretty Things”, “Futureheads” and “Glasvegas” future single and album releases by “Thomas Tantrum”, Jim helped to form, record and perform with lo-fi, Psychedelic pop artist “Spectral Park” (Mexican Summer, Crash Cymbals).
